NovaPay is one of Southeast Asia's fastest-growing payment processors, handling millions of transactions daily. Their existing dashboard was built on legacy architecture that couldn't scale with their growth — slow load times, limited real-time capabilities, and a fragmented user experience were costing them both revenue and customer trust.
The primary challenge was migrating a live financial system with zero downtime. We needed to rebuild the entire frontend and backend architecture while maintaining 100% compatibility with their existing payment APIs. Real-time data streaming at scale was non-trivial — every millisecond of latency in the dashboard meant real financial impact for their operations team.
We architected a micro-frontend approach with Next.js and TypeScript, backed by a WebSocket-powered real-time data layer. PostgreSQL with TimescaleDB handled time-series transaction data, while Redis cached frequently accessed analytics. The dashboard was built with a component-driven design system for consistency across 40+ screens.
