MediBook Pro was born from a pressing need in the private healthcare sector: patients were spending more time booking appointments than receiving care. A network of 40+ clinics approached us to build a unified mobile experience that would handle everything from discovery to post-consultation follow-ups.
Healthcare compliance was the biggest hurdle. HIPAA regulations required end-to-end encryption for all patient data, secure video streaming for telemedicine consultations, and strict audit trails. Additionally, the app needed to integrate with 5 different clinic management systems simultaneously.
We built the app using Flutter for cross-platform consistency, with Firebase handling real-time sync and authentication. Twilio powered HIPAA-compliant video calls, while Stripe managed insurance claims and co-pay processing. A custom integration layer connected all 5 clinic systems through a unified API gateway.
