Traditional education platforms follow a one-size-fits-all model that leaves struggling students behind and bores advanced learners. LernPath was conceived to change that — using AI to dynamically adjust the difficulty and format of content based on each student's real-time performance and learning style.

Building an AI system that could accurately assess student proficiency from limited interaction data was the core technical challenge. We also needed to serve 50,000+ concurrent users during school hours with minimal latency, all while keeping the interface simple enough for K-12 students to navigate independently.

The platform uses OpenAI's GPT models to generate personalized quiz questions and explanations, fine-tuned on educational content. A Python-based recommendation engine analyzes student interaction patterns to adjust learning paths. Redis handles session caching for sub-100ms response times, and the Next.js frontend delivers a playful, gamified experience.
